Counseling by Rishika is a research-driven college counseling and academic mentorship firm dedicated to helping ambitious high school students build compelling, high-impact pathways to top universities.
Founded in 2024, we specialize in 1:1 college advising, faculty-mentored research placement, and long-term academic strategy, with a focus on depth and specialization in an academic field. Our counseling model integrates research development, publication-level writing, and competition preparation directly into the college admissions process.
Since June 2024, our team of Ivy+ consultants has worked with 60+ students, supporting 15+ research publications and competitive conference presentations. In the 2024-25 admissions cycle, each of our 18 high school seniors earned an average of 2-3 acceptances to Top-20 universities.
Our team members have earned admission to selective institutions such as Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, and Cornell. They have received likely letters from schools like Columbia and Cornell, personal commendation letters from Ivy League admissions offices recognizing exceptional applicant qualities, and were admitted off the waitlists of schools like Caltech and Stanford following strong Letter of Continued Interests.
In addition to academic excellence, our consultants bring a proven record of research achievement. They have conducted and published original research in fields spanning medicine, astrophysics, quantum mechanics, and computer science, earning recognition in prestigious competitions such as the Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) and the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Their work has been presented at national conferences and cited in academic journals.
College Counseling by Rishika offers a comprehensive suite of services, including essay reviews, detailed application editing, activities and honors list optimization, interview preparation, and personalized Q&A sessions.
Your first step? Schedule a brief, no-cost consultation call with one of our consultants to assess your research or application needs, your ultimate goals and targets, and a realistic and measurable plan of action.
The SAT prep program focuses on targeted strategy across reading, grammar, and math, with an emphasis on pacing, time management, and mastering common question types through effective elimination techniques. Students begin with a personalized diagnostic and complete full-length practice exams throughout the program to track progress and identify weak areas. Instruction is delivered through structured weekly or biweekly sessions, starting with a 1-hour diagnostic review and scheduled flexibly based on availability. Between sessions, students complete guided independent practice, typically 2-5 hours per week, to reinforce concepts and build consistency.
With this targeted, data-driven approach, our students commonly achieve scores in the 1500–1600 range. Our consultants specialize in achieving scores of 1550+.
