Job Overview: The mentor will provide one-on-one support to students via video calls, asynchronous feedback, and direct assistance with journal and conference submissions. This role is ideal for individuals with research experience, strong communication skills, and a dedication to fostering intellectual growth in aspiring scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Mentorship: Conduct regular video calls with students to discuss research progress, provide guidance on methodology, and develop critical thinking skills.
• Research Support: Help students formulate research questions, design experiments or studies, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Manuscript and Proposal Editing: Provide detailed, constructive feedback on research manuscripts, proposals, and abstracts, ensuring high-quality submissions to academic journals and conferences.
• Publication and Submission Guidance: Assist students in identifying suitable academic journals and conferences for their work, preparing submission materials, and navigating the submission process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience conducting academic research, with a track record of publications or conference presentations
• Prior experience mentoring students in academic research or teaching in a higher education setting.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) or qualitative research software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti).
• Knowledge of competitive research programs for high school and undergraduate students.

Schedule:

• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on student availability.
